dang. after all these many years, countless images and varieties and STILL, it can be nearly impossible to tell a ding from a chip to me from many different types of images. i think it is a ding but you could easily be correct about a chip.
variety vista is usually my go-to but for those of you that want to go ALL the way down the rabbit hole, i believe you have to visit doubleddie.

Thank you, I have been checking out Variey Vista, I just found a 1977 D and It is not on Vista with a photo so its most likely not one. I will share anyway.

i havne't heard anything official about VV being updated since wile's hiatus. the coneca forum is picking up the load along with a couple/few other attributers until someone fills that position. not an easy one to be sure.
i haven't heard anything to the contrary, so i presume wexler is still at it and he will list pretty much anything legit, so his comprehensive listing, provided he does all the series wiles did/does, is probably more extensive. (last i checked)
