Even though I'm not a fan of teams from Boston ...

... I think the Boston Celtics will beat the Brooklyn Nets tonight and sweep that series. [Boston is a 1-point underdog.]

My prediction. Either a blowout to make it a sweep. Or a gentleman's sweep.
After I typed that, I realized that I had forgotten about the game, and Celtics are up 4 in the late 2nd quarter
I'm starting to believe that this C's team might become champions this year and that thought has nothing to do with sweeping Brooklyn,it has everything to do with snapping ref Scott Foster's streak of extending playoffs series for the team that is down. This was on twitter earlier:
Jim Murray

Re: The “Extender”
In the last 21 playoff games that Scott Foster had refereed (not game 1), the team behind in the series is 19-2. Including the 0-3 Raptors to the Sixers.
Make that record 19-3 now.

I think we can win it all for sure with this group.
The Nets had no heart all year. They were laughably bad. Sean Marks ssembled a bunch of guys who don’t want to practice or play basketball as a team but collect checks and talk trash about each other.

That's what happens when you let your players run the organization. Marks will be giving Kyrie either a 5yr/247M contract if he opt out of his 37M player option this offseason or he extendS Kyrie at 4yr/191M. Both of these options are an absolute joke considering the nutcase that is Kyrie Irving but it will happen because he's KD's BFF. Then you have a full offseason of when will we finally see Ben Simmons play again? to look forward too.
Not a great time for fans of that organization.

I thought that before the playoffs had even started. With other contenders dodging the 2 seed on that final weekend of the season Boston actually wanted that matchup then went out and swept them LoL. Their confidence is skyhigh right now and they might be playing a Bucks team missing their 2nd best player in Kris Middleton.

Hmmmm, still no "good-call posts" regarding my prediction of the Celtics game-4 win and thus "the sweep".
Does it hurt you to say "Good Call"? Maybe all you Boston zealots have just eaten some CLAM-UP CHOWDA? :-)

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I’m not going to act like I follow the Celtics but anytime a Boston team beats a NY team its a good thing, especially in any playoffs
....
Okay, at the risk of looking stupid I'm just gonna say it. Your surprise is sarcasm, correct? 🤷🤣
thisistheshow: You're correct!
Most of the posters on this Sports Forum seem to be Boston Good-Ole-Boys -- and that's fine, but it also gets a little bit tiring. It would be fun to go to a bar and knock down a few drinks with you guys (but that's obviously never gonna happen). Have a great day, thisistheshow.
...
have a great day too
@charliej2356 Let me add a point for context. I grew up in Massachusetts. Spent the first part of my twenties there too. Then I lived in New York City from 1999-2006. Then I moved to the Fort Worth , Texas area, where I remain. So I have had a lot of sports conversations, in person, with groups of guys who are like, "oh, you're from Boston.., so you must.." lol
