2021 Peace Dollars die failing?

I rec a submission today and saw some Peace dollars with low grades so I took a closer look and saw this do you think it’s from the die starting to failure? They are three different coins and looks like it started to get worse.
What do you think?

No it’s 3 separate coins it’s a chip die or something.

appears to be recessed on the coin which means high on the die, so probably some schmutz stuck to the die. that stuff gets uber compressed and can stay on the die an unexpectedly long time. i don't know what the tolerance is for rusty dies/struck through schmutz on the dies but i think these are technically errors. my 2c

ya. there are a lot of letters out there in (NARA?) from the public writing the mints about substandard coins they received going back a LONG ways, amongst other issues and requested replacements and that the mint really ought to tighten up standards etc etc.
they are pretty fun and funny to read sometimes. perhaps it is time for you to get out the typewriter? perhaps get the superintendents name or whomever is apropos.
there's gotta be a good handful of these erroneous examples out there, although, perhaps, just maybe, someone MAY want them as errors on otherwise essentially perfect coins.
people are ALWAYS making a fuss about modern coins and various problems from the mints on their coins. a good dozen or two over the last 12-24 months.
The lack of detail in the central hair would be more concerning to me. .... Correction!! Just looked at mine, and it is similar - though a tad more detail. The difference could be lighting... Sorry, false alarm. Cheers, RickO
