Looks like a 64 to me, assuming it's not cleaned or polished.

    I'll go 65. Nice Buff.

At first, I thought it was a possible proof, yet the rims give it away as a mint state coin.

I had to back down my guess, because the last time I said 65 it was a 62.

    GEE.........I'm good ain't I?

My first reaction was proof too.

    When in doubt, don't.

Is it possible ICG got it wrong?

I'm not knowledgeable about Buffalos, so I can't answer. I'm skeptical of ICG grading, but l'd be surprised if they got a proof vs. business strike designation wrong.

    When in doubt, don't.

I won’t lie, I thought proof too, the rims are too obscured to tell for sure from the pics. Are you willing to crack it to see?

It has one hell of a strike so I can understand how some would thing proof. But like @braddick has already said the rims are nowhere near sharp enough. I do however agree with the 65 grade assigned.
    Great looking Buff.

I've been offered this Buff at $300.

I like it too. Some 15's can be and are struck that nice.

That is certainly a very nice Buffalo nickel... In hand, could be a candidate for an upgrade. Cheers, RickO

I could certainly be mistaken, but the pictures don’t say “Proof” to me.

Very nice, well struck '15 the early dates are getting harder to fine, I would say that it could be a candidate for an upgrade.

Looks like a fairly standard 1915 nickel to me, I am not sure what to think of the "glossy" look to it.

Looks like a buffed buff to me. If it weren't for being in the ICG holder, that is what I would guess. I wouldn't think they would pass a coin that had been buffed into their holder though. JMO

My guess is that it’s just the lighting.
