Usps service experiences?

How are people experiencing current Usps service now? Getting better, about the same or decline in service? Regular priority I have found very reliable.
I rarely have any problems with express, but not on an incoming corporate express recently. The carrier pushed the button for "no access to delivery location" on Saturday; then on Monday he pushed the "no authorized recipient available" button though once again I was waiting. I went down to my town postmaster, he called the local delivery hub, which almost never picks up the phone, then I drove down there to talk to the supervisor about the issue. He called the driver to leave the parcel on his word. So I'm thinking that I need to waive signature in the future as the mailbox at my apartment is secure anyway. I contacted the area express mail representative and consumer affairs. The next express showed a two day guarantee which may be related to the pilot shortage and flight cancellations. So I assume that noon or 1030 am delivery options are not going to return anytime soon.
The back of the express was broken open and taped up. That also happened to be on an express box coming back from cac. Not sure how that would have happened.

I’ve had more damage packages in the last year, from all shipping companies, than I have in the last 20. My guess is that companies are saving money by holding containers until they’re completely packed full vice shipping less full containers as they may have in the past.
But I really don’t know why so many packages are arriving damaged now
No issues here.
My box from PCGS last week arrived here in Florida within two days and was perfect.
A BST purchase from Oregon was shipped to me Monday and arrived before noon Wednesday, again with no problems.
I receive packages several times a month. From USPS, FEDEX, UPS.... I have had zero damage to any package. Expecting a package today and tomorrow. Will update. Cheers, RickO
never had issues with USPS getting me my mail or getting mail to where it is suppose to go

The decline in service I've noticed the most is at my expensive post office. There will be one person working during the busier times of the day and they're invariably doing a passport appointment, which can take forever. Once in a while, a second person will show up, usually only to help pick up packages. Since passports are by appointment, this situation is entirely avoidable.

Here is my recent experience with the USPO. The buyer reported the package was received open and empty, therefore the contents MUST have been stolen by a PO employee. There was $10 in quarters in the package. Ouch.
Unless they are booked up on Passport appointments! At the PO I go to that does Passports they are 15 or 30 minutes apart. Can't remember which. They do try to work us minions in though!
I had a bubble paraded small envelope that arrived with a hole on the backside and the coin gone, via USPS.
I recently had a FedEx box from HA that had a hole punched in it, fortunately they put a box inside a box so nothing was taken, but it sure looked like someone tried.
I have started putting a box in a box when I am sending a coin with decent value, >$400.
Recently sent a coin cross country and put a box inside another box. The outside box I put glue on the flaps and taped it up. I told the buyer that he would have to destroy the outside box in order to get inside.
When I send boxes of coins to PCGS it’s a box inside another box and I put brown paper tape around the outside box and after it dries where any of the tape edges have curled up, I glue them back down with wood glue. By the time I am done that sucker is taped and glued. Box gets sent registered mail. Overkill? Yes, but I am counting on the thieves out there to pursue a less secured package!
This is the only one I have received, this was Oct last year. Tracking showed it delivered, so the seller wouldn't help and ebay said it was delivered so they wouldn't help. Good thing it wasn't an expensive coin.
My experience is the service is MUCH improved over 2019 - 2021
Especially for First Class envelopes 👍
I don't know. If I'm a thief, I think I'm attracted to the elaborate sealing. After all, few people would send a $3 whistle wrapped up that way.
Or the usps workers handling heavily packaged items may conclude the sender is fully ocd and enjoys overkill packing and shipping. The harder you make it for someone to find out what's inside probably the less likely a thief is going to take the chance.
