WTS TESTED ~21-22KLarge chunky natural gold nuggets pickers and flakes (some at spot)

CalifornianKingCalifornianKing Posts: 1,259 ✭✭✭✭

Not sure where else to put this so hope it’s alright, if not, I am selling a pocket change nickel for the prices listed below and they happen to come with a free gift of the gold corresponding to the price. If you check my post history I’ve got a decent amount of sales and I’ve never had any complaints. I’d prefer to sell all in one go, but willing to split it up.

I tested the gold and it came out as not dissolved by the 22k acid. Left most one is 18k. Middle is 22k with a good scratch and the right most one is a bad scratch 22k.

Feel free to message with any questions

I am currently in CT so all prices are for local, if you want it shipped just cover shipping ($6 for tracking + padded envelope or $10 for priority insurance is extra) + a 4% PayPal goods and services fee or a 2% Venmo goods and services fee. I would be willing to ship/sell without buyer/seller protection but that’s upto you. Also cashapp/Zelle/Venmo and PayPal with or without buyer/seller protection.

$335 4.5g nugget (pricing it as a 4.45g nugget since that’s what the old scale + .6% had it as and the minimum it had to be for the new scale to read it as 4.5g).

$71 Nice chunky ~1g nugget with quartz specimen.

*$1100 SHIPPED** All of the chunky gold!! 15.2g worth!

Other source gold:
$95 ~1.5g of gold. Going to round it to 1.5 to be about half between the scales).

*shipped with a fee free payment method + a padded envelope with tracking.

Have you had source gold assayed? What is purity?

I haven’t assayed it but the source (a very well trusted dealer) says that it’s from northern Alaska/the Yukon and is 85-95% pure typically. Obviously he didn’t assay this gold in particular.

    What’s a xrf?

X-ray fluorescence. It basically shows the metal composition of an item. An XRF of the gold would show the purity of the gold.

Xrf units are used by jewelers and pawn brokers to authenticate precious metals cause no one wants to buy fake silver or gold anything. Peace Roy

There is no need to do that… it’s real. Plus I don’t got $1500 or so to spare. I sold some to @Type2 and he said he’d test the purity. So I’m sure he can testify to its authenticity. The gold I sold him was from three different sources tho.

I was not questioning the authenticity... My concern is if it is only 80% then the pricing is a lot different than if it were 95% so on and so forth.
Typically when mined gold is sold you are paid on a net weight after the gold is assayed.
My understanding is Yukon gold is usually between 73% and 90% but I do not talk to a lot of miners... just cursory research.

    Do you mine?

I pan for gold occasionally. My understanding is that raw gold and specifically nuggets typically go for spot (larger the gold the larger the premium). Something like 90% of all gold is microscopic.

Cool! If I may ask what batch was that from? The current ones are from the 5g batch source. He said these larger ones should be a higher purity since they came from a slightly different mine.

So if I'm understanding this correctly the 15.082g tray has 11.85g of gold (78.6%) and with gold at $62.15/gram would be worth $736.75. Is that correct or would it be worth less because it would require some labor to separate the gold from the other metals?

The longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice is it possible for an empire to rise without His aid? Benjamin Franklin

Melting this down would be dumb tbh. It has a premium over spot. And it’s got more than 80% gold

Also the gold he tested (by putting the gun on the top of the bottle) came from a DIFFERENT source than this gold. This gold is towards the bottom.
