Possible improperly annealed quarter? I'll let the error guys confirm.
Interesting.

Environmental damage.... spent time in dirt or other chemically active surrounding. Cheers, RickO
Looks like it to me, especially if it was in an unopened roll.
Sintered planchet?

Yep, improper annealing. Very cool find.
Agree improper annealing.
Came out of a roll of mint-fresh 2021s, still lustrous... yeah probably improperly annealed. Don't see any way to explain environmental damage.

Nice example of a improperly annealed planchet
Is it worth getting slabbed?

I found one similar last night. I've run across a few of these lately and they are almost always from the Denver mint
Anyone?

To me it depends on eye appeal. I have a few that will definitely be sent in because I think they're beautiful and unique
nope
BHNC #203
I don't think so - it can cost $40-$65 to slab it....
Not worth it in my view, but it's not my coin.
Even if I have to keep it this one is going in
I agree they don't command much. I have too many to grade but these are for my collection

Awesome find, dude!
