Coin marking

I have seen this coin marking in a lot of the quarters I've picked up. I don't think it's from the mint, but it could be from something that rolls the coins? Not really sure, wisdom is appreciated.

Looks like a normal bag mark. The edge of another coin with a reeded edge hit your coin.

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

Look at the edge of a quarter. Now imagine what it might look like if the edge of a new quarter hit the surface of another quarter. ;)

  • That makes a lot of sense. This definitely cleared it up. Thank you everyone

Lots of opportunities for bag marks at the mint and also at the vendors who roll the coins
