Real Buffalo variety or not?

Had been watching this on eBay because I've owned one similar for years. Always believed it was a contemporary counterfeit. Wondering if the bidders think it was a genuine variety, or have counterfeit buffalos become that valuable?

And a floating head variety to boot.
I'd have to say counterfeit... but some bidders believed the listing as a legitimate error (but I'm no Buffalo Nickel expert so who knows??)
It's a contemporary counterfeit.
that is a VERY weird situation. no other coin sales, listing a highly desirable period fake. seller
Something happened to that coin on the way to the bank.
Looks counterfeit and all banged up. That's my first observation.
Second observation is that it's been lightly struck, possibly from the press stopping.
Third observation is that someone acided it up.
Wonder what it weighs.

A well-known contemporary counterfeit. Didn't know these went for so much money! Thanks for posting it.
