This Week Finds CRH Quarters

Hello all!, I cracked 6 boxes of quarters last week, all of them had W's One box had 3 W"s Plus 1-64 Silver. I had a thought, With all these new 2022's coming into circulation plus old George Washington crossing the Delaware, I thought my chances of finding W's would be more difficult. I am finding that not to be the case. I have found W's with over 350 2022's in the box. I thought that was good logic. Anyway, I had a great week Found 8 W's, I pulled 2-2019W's and 6-2020W's. 1-Lowell, 1-Wilderness, 4-National Parks, 1-Tall Grass, and 1-Salt River Bay. I have now pulled 254 from Circulation. Only been able to complete 11 Sets of the 2019 W's and 10 Sets of the 2020 W's. The Sally Ride Quarters are the 2022D's I have been finding in the boxes and out of the 600 plus I found I pulled 105 of the George Washington Die Chip on the corner of the mouth. I think it looks more like a cold sore than drooling? I also have a full box of the 2022D Sally Ride Quarters and I pulled one roll to see if I could find anymore of the die chips and I pulled 5 from one roll plus a bunch of the early stage of this die failure progression. Also have 3 on the End of the roll. I posted a set of 5 coins on my Etsy page and on Ebay to see what the interest is. These type of die cracks are really common, yet still fun to find and save a few. Enjoy the Pictures!

Not sure about the others but you gotta love those W's. They're still out there but rapidly deteriorating!

Excellent!!! Glad to hear W's are still out there!!!! What a great find & they look great!
@arby96 ... You have done very well on the W quarters. I am still searching for one in the wild though... It has become a quest
I just know they are out there. Cheers, RickO
@arby96 ....nice to hear there is still W quarters available to find!
Congratulations on your success and please keep us updated on your W quarters hunt😎
Very nice to hear you found 8 W’s.
I am wondering what the current average rate is at finding a W in roll hunting…is it like 1 in every 1500 quarters? Seems to be according this this recent roll hunt.
Also interesting there was a silver quarter - so on average, one silver per every 12,000 quarters? Or am I missing something here?
Just trying to figure out the odds.
You have gotten more then your share of the W's out there.

It's strictly the luck of the draw. It all depended on where the fed dumped them and which coin rolling companies and banks got them. The distribution of these W's didn't go as planned. Many areas of the country got were flooded with W's.
Some guys found hundreds of them and some guys have found ZERO!

So that makes me curious - what were some hot spot areas that they got dumped?
It's all speculation. There "was" a schedule of (time and locations) of release by the mint. Many don't believe it was followed very well. You can tell by many of the members here, by where they live and what they have found or have not found.

Nice finds.

Your luck has been better than mine.
Probably, my numbers are under half of your calculations.
Nevertheless, at least our collection is continuous. Sadly, the condition of these gems are dwindling.
Keep on hunting!

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.@OAKSTAR .... you kinda sound bitter about the W quarters.
How many bank boxes have you searched and when did you begin your search? 🤔
Bitter?? Not hardly! You got the wrong guy.

@OAKSTAR ......still didn't answer my questions. 🤔
@WQuarterFreddie-
Banks? Over a dozen or so in my area.
When did I begin my search? Around mid 2019.
EDIT: How about you?

@OAKSTAR ..... didn't ask you how many banks were in your area dude. 🙄
You came at me stating I had found more than my fair share of W quarters.
Seems kind of hypocritical of you😉
Oh sorry, you said how many boxes have I searched. Man, I don't really know. Never really thought of it. Let me think....
I was getting several boxes a week for a long time. Times a few years? Maybe in the range of 300 to 400 boxes?
No, I wasn't being hypocritical. I was stating a fact. Let me ask you a question. Was I lying when I said: "You have gotten more then your share of the W's out there."

@OAKSTAR ..... now we know you have gotten more than your share of quarters as well.
@WQuarterFreddie .... Between you and me?... Yes I have.
I've been monitoring your W venture from afar. You have done quite well.

I wish I was getting UNC Boxes, All the ones I have pulled have been rescued from Circulation. I started searching for W's May 9, 2021, and have searched 245 boxes, 113 were skunks and 132 contained W's. I have had a coupld of boxes where I pulled 5 W's from one box. That is my record, and that happened twice, Also several times 3-4 a box. Most of the time its 1 or 2. 113 time none. So 252 gives me slightly over 1 per box.
I do have two V75 W Enders that I am thinking of posting on me Etsy page,

@arby96- There's nothing wrong with that! 👍🏻 👍🏻

Oakstar, are you still getting UNC Boxes of 2019 and 2020 Quarters?
Hello fellow W quarter hunter! It sounds like all of your quarter boxes are old coin rolls and you have documented exactly what Joey and I have been stating which is the average of one W quarter/box on average.
Congratulations on your results!
I must caution you that the two W ender rolls appear to be old coin rolls from your pic and thus aren't really worth more than the W quarter itself because the odds are extremely low that the roll will yield more than the ender W.
If it was a new coin roll of all the same quarters as the ender then the selling price is about $80 delivered depending on which 2020-W quarters they are.
Even then the odds of finding more than 5 in the new coin roll are extremely low.
Looking forward to reading about more of your successes!
No, I think those days are pretty much gone for me around here. I'm only seeing new rolls of 2022's.
Can you get a closeup picture of the best W you have found? Have you submitted any for grading?

I picked up some 2009 6-quarter lenses and put together sets of each of the 10 w quarters with a P/D/W/S-unc/S-clad Proof/S-silver Proof. I also used the the 5 quarter holders and and made sets of all 5 for each year. You guys might want to do the 6 coin sets, they really look super. Good luck with the CRH.

I have a few that look really good, Maybe MS-66-67, I will have to fish them out of my Vault. I put those in 2X2's. I have not submitted any for grading as of yet. You have a very nice collection of the 2019 and 2020's
Wow!! Man, that is perfect!! Very nice for sure @JWP Those coins look great in that red case! 👍🏻

@oakstar The 2009 territory quarters were the only quarter sets that had 6 in a year. I bought these empty lenses on Ebay in 2019 when I realized I might need a lense with 6 slots and found these. I also used a 5 slot holder for the last ATB quarter -the Tuskegee Airmen. I used the P/D/S-unc/ S-clad proof/ S-silver proof for the Tuskegee Airmen quarters. I wanted to do the GWCD quarter like the Tuskegee quarter set, but no S-unc quarter. I'm glad the 2019/2020 quarters are almost done, still looking for the "W". I've found 25 and still CRH. I have my left over S-quarters for 2019 and 2020 listed on BST,but not much interest. Good luck CRH. May the "W" find you.
