Not only a highly desired 58+, but also a CAC to boot. CAC is so very tough on gold!
According to the PCGS Pop Report, they graded 781 1911-D Strong D as either AU58 or AU58+, and only 5 of those 781 are a +. That’s a minuscule 6/10 of 1%. Congratulations! (Edited).
NGC’s Pop is only 1,515, with 1,507 as AU58, and only 8 as AU58+.
Overall, with PCGS and NGC, there are 2,296 graded as 58 or 58+, yet only 128 merit a CAC. That’s only 5.6%! You’d figure at this price point (roughly $6,000 or so) most of those graded AU58 or AU58+ would have been submitted to CAC. So with so few getting a CAC, and even fewer with a +, this really is a VERY special coin!
Enjoy!
Steve

2/5 are CAC'd, that I know of (and I replied 5, above, not 3).

Kennedys are my quest...
That's a really nice coin, and a pretty cool grade to! I don't see AU58+ grades very often. Do you have a link to your set?
