    It is MDD.

    The mintmark also shows doubling. That's the tipoff for MDD, as mintmarks won't be doubled on true doubled dies.

    They are punched in after the die is already made.

    Yup... machine doubling is pretty common on 1969-S. Gets a lot of people excited for a moment.

    "You can't get just one gun." "You can't get just one tattoo." "You can't get just one 1796 Draped Bust Large Cent."
