Nice dmpl. I love the contrast, looks like it has deep mirrors. I'm looking for that as well as many others. Gets way up there in 65dm, so 63dm and 64dm seem to be a good value for money.
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony. Will’sProoflikes
DMPL dollars were my main collecting interest when I was in my 20s. I was driven away from them by the huge price swings between grades and DMPL-PL-not quite PL designations. Very often, you'd buy a certified DMPL online, but it wasn't quite DMPL when it arrived. NGC's idea of a 64DMPL might have been PCGS's idea of a 63PL. There goes 95% of your money, because you paid a huge premium for the DMPL status. I had more than one ANACS DMPL that PCGS wouldn't grade at all, even though they were spectacular and I agreed with the ANACS grade. With a CAC sticker on a 65DMPL the risk is lower these days, but I guarantee the price is higher.
That's an awesome 1881-O DMPL, a date that used to be virtually impossible to find with really deep mirrors.

Nice! And an O mint too. What is the grade? I'd take a guess but I think the photos enhance some of the frost breaks...

Really nice Morgan dollar .... I like them in DMPL, well, I like Morgans, so seeing them in that condition is a real treat. Cheers, RickO
