Anyone here have some coins in old holders imaged in the holder by PCGS? How was the process? Feel free to post photos of the results.

Guess you need to buff your own holders prior to getting this service done?

I clean and buff all my holders prior to sending them to Mark for photos, I know there are ways to make the scratches less visible with some oils and such, but I'm paying for nice photos it seems only right that I do all I can to help the process.

Yeah you should. I turned a couple of those around real fast so I didn't have a chance to clean the holders up. Also kinda afraid to mess 'em up, rattlers are hard to polish. I did one once and feel like I kinda screwed it up so I'm a bit gunshy on polishing rattlers.

I've never seen a PCGS First Gen Rattler or ANACS White Chase small slab that needed polishing.

Edited to add: Except yours as I see the scuff lines across the word ONE on the reverse.

Mark? Is that someone else? I was used to Phil "darkhorse" doing the Trueviews.....I know I dropped off the planet for awhile and just got back on here, so maybe there was a change/addition?

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I do not use PCGS for photos, there are many great coin photographers and my go to is Mark Goodman.

Ah yes, Mark Goodman, who literally wrote the book. He has done some of mine. Great photographer and great person.
I thought you were talking about someone at PCGS since that was the thread and I didn't catch the transition. My bad

Figured I should add the one Morgan they did get in the holder (they missed 3 IIRC).
