This thread is a showcase of great baseball photographs throughout the history of the game. I'll probably be working on this thread for a few days, got nothing else to do, feel free to join in.

Bob Gibson with his menacing stare.
Bob Gibson used to throw everything he had at you, and put a lot of force into it.
The great Rod Carew.
I love this photo of Carew with the headband.
Sandy Koufax was the MAN! Best pitcher of all time and FEARLESS!
We don't hear enough about Rod Carew, the man was a hitting genius.
I love this photo of Sandy Koufax, it shows how hard he threw the ball.
Willie Stargell.
Notice the Giants coach trying to restrain Koufax as he comes to the rescue of Roseboro.... while #27 Marichal and #26 Tito Fuentes are attempting to commit homicide.
Oh, those Giants......
Oops, I forgot to add this photo of Sandy Koufax, I love the way he throws.
Nice photo of Willie Stargell swinging.
I love this photo of Willie Stargell's face.
Awesome photo of Willie Stargell and his bat is on fire.
It always amazed me how Reggie Jackson's legs look all twisted up.
Oh fiddlesticks, just when I was getting into this thread, my wife is rapping at my chamber door, it's time to go to Wal-Mart to pick up the necessary supplies for survival. I better hurry up and meet her demands, or she'll release the hounds on me yet again!
When I was a kid I had a book about Clemente and it had this picture in it, I believe it is
the Great One standing on second base after his 3,000 hit.
Alex Gordon roughing up the untouchable Mets reliever to tie first game of 2015 WS and set the tone
for the entire series, with the Royals winning this one in extra innings.
The mechanics are perfect. Every body part lined at correct angle. No head movement. No wasted motion. Eye focus. Straight to the plate. Like a bullet....best part of his delivery?...... when his right foot hits the ground, back arches backwards with left arm fully extended, eyes laser focused, and then.......Whoa!
One of the prettiest swings I've seen in my lifetime. I give you Will Clark.
Oh, yea!...He was one Hell of a ballplayer!
Williams
DiMaggio
Clark
It's all about the mechanics...... An old friend told me that.
Another beautiful swing.
Great color shot of Ted Williams.
Lou Brock.
Great shot of Lou Brock stealing second.
Base stealers have always fascinated me.
That's the picture of the Kid I was looking for......thanks Dragon Master!

Here’s a few Mickey Mantle photos from the collection with connection to a must have publication from my youth, Sports Illustrated.
The first is a dated shot of Mickey practicing some drag bunting that was used for publication in a local paper. However, it would also be used as the action pose portion of the phantom 1954 Topps Mickey Mantle card that appears in the second issue of SI; while never made by Topps because of contractual issues between Mantle, who was signed to Bowman at the time, and Topps, the card was nevertheless designed and readied for for potential production, as you can see below in the second issue.
In 1957, the photo below was featured in an article entitled Skills of the Hitter that appeared in the June 17 issue; this is the original photo from the archives of the magazine that was taken by John Zimmerman for that article.
Both have since been encapsulated by PSA:

@1951WheatiesPremium, That is fascinating stuff, I have started collecting boxing photos recently, I find them to be fascinating, especially photos that were used in publications or cards.
Sticking with Mickey, I always loved this photo, he looks so cool!
Thanks for kind words.
Here he is on his day in ‘69, straight from the Yankee archives…
