Michigan state numismatic society spring show

The show is at Macomb Community College campus in Warren this weekend April 7-9.
Who's going? I'm going Saturday. Maybe I'll buy something this time.

Lots of shows happening all of a sudden... Everyone is busting loose after two years.... Show reports please. I think bullion will be taking a jump shortly. Cheers, RickO
I'll be there tomorrow.

Not as big as the fall show. A couple empty table, maybe those dealers were only there yesterday. I was there to browse the Morgans and gold. Good amount of Morgans as usual. There were a few ms66 CC's in the mix. Quite a bit of silver to be seen. I saw 2 vendors that had a 1795 flowing hair half. One was a 2 leaf variety in fine 15. I believe the other was in fine 15 as well. Both graded by pcgs.
Overheard one of the dealers talking about gold at the show. Yesterday was apparently better for gold. I was looking for $20 liberties. Mostly common dates. Surprisingly there were a couple type 1 liberties. One was of the date I wanted. Even without the S.S. Central America designation, it was just too much that I would pay. Even though I didn't ask for the price. I would settle for the sane date in a grade or two lower and save me a couple thousand.
Overall, it was a pretty decent show. Better than the past spring shows I've been to. The last one was maybe 5 or 6 years ago.
