Ebay Pictures Versus Reality - 1965 SMS Kennedy

OK, kids, here is an example of ebay "cheating" in that the pictures are extremely juiced versus the real thing:

Not the same coin, if you ask me.
I agree, this is not the same coin. Bait and switch. The coin you got is a crappy one compared.
Compare the hair/R in Liberty. Two different coins
Yes, I agree and just posted it to show how bad it can be...Thanks Gents!

The finger print is missing on the crappy coin.
did the seller say anything??, like stock image or??
The "Juiced" picture is so enhanced why take a chance bidding on it at all?
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Saw that on eBay the other day. If you look at their other items, they use the exact same photo over and over and over. Just terrible. Look at the feedback and the number of feedbacks removed.
Clearly not the same coin. I would not have bid in the first place with that picture. Cheers, RickO
The scratch above the S in TRUST is not on the first picture. Suggest you send it back.

Not even close to the one pictured, I would send it back in a heartbeat!
... and leave a negative.
Leave a neg first if you intend to, as once you hit the return button, no feedback is allowed. BTW, be sure to offer photos to ebay when filing for return.

He or she will have another one up shortly. Good to post this will help keep the new board members from buying hopefully. Hopefully
Hoard the keys.
I wonder how long it took to paint in all that black?
Nasty bait and switch.
But that’s not what you said in the OP. You said this is a comparison between juiced photos and what you actually get. A deep cameo coin could look like the seller’s photo without juicing, but if you got the coin you got, it wouldn’t make a difference how accurate the photo is since the coin you got is not the same one. To show how juicing works you need to show how impressive a coin can look when the photo is juiced compared to how unimpressive it may look in hand.
The seller has a handful of pics for their 1965 SMS halves and that pic is highest average seller. I hope you did not get the one that cost $44.
Indeed that is bait and switch
There are many sellers who use deceptive images like that one. I wish there was a way to get them all removed from eBay.
Collector, occasional seller
Yes, well,I would suggest not getting lost in semantics. The coin does not look like the one advertised because it is not that; the overall appearance however is juiced compared to the coin and I am guessing in all likelihood to the actual coin. It was an experimental buy at I think about 16.00 USD.

Surely that isn't the same coin, and I'm not just saying that because of the difference in cameo.
I actually found a lighting system that makes any proof look like it's DCAM. I avoid using it, but I've found plenty of eBay sellers who still use it

Interesting. Maybe you could post this, or would you have to shoot us first? Ah, that was not funny in this day and age.
