Does your bank still offer self-service Coin Counting?

My current bank has one, somewhat of a generic machine that operates much less 'profitably' than the old Penny Arcades.
They were in wide use at TD Banks here in the northeast until a class action lawsuit forced their removal.
Between all the Canadian coin that stuck to the magnets and goodies like these that jammed in the tub below...I practically had a part-time job every Saturday morning for three years.
This haul came from one of my best branches. The teller popped open the door and said, "it's yours if you want it"
The bank considered any coin that wasn't modern circulating US issue a nuisance. 🤑
I wonder are they still in use somewhere other than Toronto Dominion?

the one i have my business account does. ive seen it down a few times and when i brought a couple hundred dollars worth of coins (roll searching) in, i think i broke it.
ALWAYS check how much you have before putting it into machines. BUT when they have to go in to verify, it is just easier to let them keep what it gobbled up.

The two banks in town here do not have coin counting machines. The supermarket has Coinstar.... Cheers, RickO
I remember PNC banks were mostly out if service most of the time. But my favorite Credit Union has them. They would automatically deposit in your account if you requested, but for minths now, network interface is offline, you have to take the chit to the teller. I use them frequently.

Vystar CU (I highly recommend them for banking if you have a branch in your city) has a machine in every branch. No fee for members. I dump roll search rejects with them periodically.

Great question!
Love these "arcade" machines. To me, this is what these are. Very fun to (play) use. Sure, they've become more scarce nowadays. However, I took the time and travel, to locate at least 8 different banks that still have these gems. Love to find hidden treasures in them and around them! Yes, I frequently find some coins ( like mentioned in previous posts) in their bins, magnet areas, on the floor, under the front of the machine and esp. in their trash cans. Yes, the trash cans constantly have a coin or 2,3,4,5,6,7... in there! I found many goodies in them. Even some silver! Yes, some good banks still have these beautiful machines for us coin nuts. Lol.
Note: the 8 banks that I know of, are mostly on my way to work. I work 35 miles from my home so NO gas wasted. Thanks for starting this thread and Good Luck guys in your hunting and finding even more treasures in and around these glorious machines. I like to kiss the guy/gal
that invented these!
Here is what I just found in the trash can yesterday.
Then, couple of old Silver babies, awhile back.
Many Wartime Nickels too!

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Yes, my Credit Union has a Coin Counting machine for members only. You put your change in the counter, and it will give you a slip for deposit.
I have never used these Coin Counters, because I keep just about all of my change.
Yes but have to drive to next town to use that machine
BMO Harris used to have them, but the stuff with the coins that wasn't culled out kept jamming the machines.
They had to remove them, unfortunately.

I’m similar to Ricko, live in a two bank town.
However, one has a machine, behind the tellers window. Requires assistance from a human. Interesting they accept hand rolled “rolls “. 😉🙀🦫

I used to use the bank in my hometown that provided heavy plastic bags that you put your change into. You then returned it to the bank and they sent it off to be counted and then it was deposited in your bank account. I've never seen these coin counting machines in Banks, I wish I could find one. Happy Hunting guys.

There are about 6 different credit unions in my city with multiple banks. They all have counter machines but you need to be a member. During the hunt for W quarters I used the for around$100,000 worth of coins and only a couple of the banks complained as they had to use Brinks to take the coins away.
Bank of America had that service. In addition to all the coins, you needed to put a deposit slip in the bag.
