manating from the center of the coin, with different levels of gradation. Anyone seen this before?

I don't think the mint polishes the die surface in that manner. Maybe a chemical reaction? Peace Roy

I have never seen die polish like that before... While I do not know what caused the phenomena, I do not think it is die polish. Perhaps @FredWeinberg or @CaptHenway could help with this one. Cheers, RickO
