Dang. How did that happen? Congrats on the nice pick up. I think that there must be less than 10 in existence.

Amazing Cotton States So-Called Dollar!
Finds like this are part of what makes collecting so fun!
Did the person know what they had?
For us that are ignorant on these things, is this a "you suck" kind of worthy find?

It's pretty rare. The OP says that there are 2 slabbed. About 1/3 of the ~1400 HK-listed So-Called Dollars have slabbed populations as low or lower than this one.
Congratulations! Here's the other one for reference.

Congrats to both @ScarsdaleCoin and @Pioneer1! Thanks for posting your specimens. It's great to see all rare items together and owned by forum members!
Wow!! Both slabbed rarities in a single thread.... Congratulations guys. Cheers, RickO
What metal is your medal struck from? If it's struck in "white metal" which is primarily tin, there appears to be "tin pest" on the obverse at 11:00. If so, suggest that you store it in cool place with low humidity so it doesn't continue to spread. There was a lengthy discussion here a couple of days ago about tin pest. I'd like to see a pic of the reverse.
