Sacramento Coin Show short Report & newps

http://www.sacramentocoinshow.com/
This was the first show I have ever attended so my impressions could certainly vary from the more, ahem, experienced collectors here. Doors opened at 10a and I arrived at 10:30a. The place was jam packed with barely any room to walk. There were 20ish dealer booths and certainly more than 100 attendees although that thinned out by when I left at 1p. I was impressed how little duplication there was between different vendors. There were certainly plenty of Morgans and Peaces and Double Eagles around but there were several specialized booths focusing on cents, paper currencies, etc. Seemed to be a brisk trade, more customers buying than selling, and prices were sky high with little room for negotiation. I came away with a couple of items I needed and paid a touch more than I wanted but so be it.

Thanks for your report. Now that you have been to a show, I am sure you will want to go to another.
Thanks for the report. Glad you enjoyed your first coin show. Wait until you get to a show with hundreds of dealers. Those are crazy.

Thanks for the report, @lermish. I drove over from the Bay Area and arrived at 10:02 AM. There was not a single space available in the two parking lots so I knew it would be crowded and it was. I did a few loops looking for old holders but came away empty handed. The biggest surprise to me was the amount of $500 and $1000 notes for sale. Seemed like every table had a few.
Always good to see Charmy there but was hoping to spend more than the $3 admission fee.

@lermish... Thanks for the report. Looks like some nice acquisitions. Sounds like another busy show. Seems the coin market is thriving. Cheers, RickO
