Identifying an error or intentional error 1951 D wheat penny

I found a 1951 D wheat penny tucked away with a folded band on the front and back of this penny neatly tucked in on both sides. How can I identify if it’s a genuine error. I’ve had no luck in research.

@ERingus... Welcome aboard. I do not understand what you mean by 'folded band'... In a few days you will be able to post pictures... You could post links to pictures now. When we can see clear pictures, obverse and reverse, we will be able to help you. Cheers, RickO
Thank you so much! What I mean by folded band is the entire outside of the penny is folded over on both sides covering almost completely “IN GOD WE TRUST” it’s folded over perfectly on the front and back. (I’m very new to this so I’m still learning correct terms. I apologize!)

Pictures or links will be necessary to properly identify the issue. Cheers, RickO
I think I did the link right. If not I will delete them. Thank you for taking the time to help me. I appreciate your kindness!
The links work. Are you referring to the rims of the cent? The rim is the raised edge encircling the coin. If that is the 'folded over' feature you mean, it is Post Mint Damage (PMD)... Cheers, RickO
Yes, and thank you. I assumed that because I’ve found nothing similar. You have saved me a lot of time.
Would you mind if I shared one more for an opinion and then I will continue on this journey my father started and unfortunately didn’t gain interested until after his death but am completely hooked now.
Yes, post away. You got the hang of the links pretty quickly so why not.

I find myself spending hours and hours searching and can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner. It’s my calling.

These are the Pennie’s I’ve found that may be nothing special but are perfect for a beginner. I’m just not sure what I should put in protectors and what I should just keep separate. I’m like less then a month new at this.
These are what many call album coins. They're great to put into coin folders like Whitman's blue coin folders. It's fun to try to find all the date and mint combinations out there. A good resource to get is the Red Book (Guide to US Coins) and maybe the ANA Grading Standards book. Both are inexpensive and a great way to start learning about the coins and being able to compare the different states of preservation.

BTW, there's no such thing as an "intentional error". The two words are opposites.
It looks like there was one legitimate error in the photos you linked. I do not recall the date/mint, but it was the one with the middle of LIBERTY weak and nearly missing. That is a "struck through grease" error. The other coins are PMD (post mint damage), as @ricko pointed out to you. They look like errors to someone just beginning, but they are not. I did the same thing when I started collecting coins back in 1976.
And welcome to the hobby of kings, and also to the PCGS forums. Spend a few hours per day reading as much as you can BEFORE you start buying coins for your collection. Keep asking questions and you will learn quickly, especially with your enthusiasm for the hobby. Have fun!
These are some of my favorites so far. https://share.icloud.com/photos/06dkh3e2Y0jdRkTTQLcM3r9nA

I think this is a 1920 wheat penny but at some angles it looks like 1926.
@ERingus Do you have any coin shops in your area?

I would say someone hammered that coin on the edge. I can not visualize the mint doing that.
Only one and they are not very honest people. The closest one with a good reputation is close to two hours away. I wish there were because what I’ve shared today is just some of my favorites and I’ve not even started research on the other coins yet, just the Pennie’s. I find myself completely losing track of time and don’t even realize it’s hours and hours later. Do you have any suggestions that will help me in the beginning stages from mistakes I should be mindful of when it comes to coin shops? Again thank you for your help!
Which coin are you referring to as far as the possible hammering?
