BTW this is one of Bobby’s favorite cards of himself.
I think he owns both those. He said he’s trying to get the rainbow but doesn’t have the superfractor. So if you own it you’ve got a buyer with deep pockets 😁
Also didn’t know Bobby was a PSA ambassador, whatever that is.🤔
I think I’ll do a Bobby Witt Jr. showcase set. That way I can pick and choose the cards I want instead of doing a rookie set or something where there’s some cards I have no interest in.
Should be a fun project. 🥳

You got a good thread to post up your cards in, keep it updated as you go along!
Thanks guys,
Galaxy… another Texas boy doing great things in KC…. Mahomes and now Witt.
They say he’s a great kid, really humble and he’s really serious about improving his game. And he collects baseball cards🥳
For a long, long time, I thought it was Bryce Harper, but I'm now convinced that Bobby Witt Jr is the player Mike Trout wants to be when he grows up. Lol
2 postseason games.
2 game winning hits.
Trouty's taking notes to self: "It's amazing what can result from a player just swinging the bat and making contact with the ball."

Bobby’s already had more postseason success than Trouty and Mikes postseason career is over.

Any postseason analysis of Trout should take sample size into account. For all the lauding of Witt based on what he did in the wild card series, his stats against the Yankees in the next round were horrible. He was 2-17 at the plate with 2 singles and one walk for an average of .118 and an OBP of .176.
Trout should be criticized for sticking with the Angels and their atrocious organization during his prime as well as not taking proper care of his body and breaking down so frequently. The Angels somehow had 5 AL MVP seasons since 2014 and managed to make the playoffs one time. They had two of the best players in baseball on the same roster and couldn't even post a winning record.
Ohtani this year has shown that player performance should be divorced from team results. He put together three all time great seasons with the Angels (with two unanimous MVPs and a second place in 2022) and couldn't lift the Angels to a winning record. I don't hear folks saying he is a fraud because the Angels sucked the entire time he played for them like they do with Trout. Ohtani goes to an organization that is well run and they post the best record in baseball and are currently in the NLDS.
Witt did have a bad series against the Yankees. Personally, knowing the kind of guy he is I think he was probably feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders. He knows it’s a team game but he also knows he’s by far the best position player on the team with Salvy a distant second.
I saw him swing at quite a few pitches outside the zone that he wasn’t offering at during the season. I’ll give him a pass this year and if kc makes it back to the playoffs next year and he sucks again I’ll be a lot more critical.
As it is he gave us fans the best season we’ve ever seen out of a royals player since George Brett’s glory years in my opinion.
Congrats to Bobby taking second place unanimously for AL MVP.
Judge got all 30 first place votes, Bobby all 30 second place votes. I agree with these results as Judge played a respectable outfield and was there for the entire game for his team. Aaron’s offensive numbers were so spectacular that Bobby’s superb all around game could not overcome them.
If Bobby were in the NL I could make a serious argument that he should win mvp over Ohtani. Shohei played no defense at all, Bobby played 160 games defensively at SS and won the gold glove. So Witt was far more valuable than part time Ohtani.
So here’s the top three breakdown for the entire mlb mvp award.

I have a couple so far I need to get graded, this is one of them.
Congrats to Bobby winning the batting title with a .332 avg.
And the Royals will be playing the Orioles in the playoffs.
Have a few beers and enjoy the playoffs.

I really don't buy new cards, but Witt is looking like the real deal.

I’m a believer. He had an amazing year.
Bobby won his first silver slugger award along with his first gold glove. Also one of the three finalists for AL MVP which Judge will rightfully win.
Incredible year, I could easily envision him winning all 3 of those awards in the same season at some point in time.
