My first Double Eagle!! :)

Yeah I know it’s a common date and not in the best condition…
But it’s still my first Double Eagle so I don’t care. ^_^

Wonderful coin. You might get more comments posting this on a coin forum…
Ah darn it! I misread

Thanks for pointing it out!
Cool coin.

From the photos it looks clean for a 62. Nice coin.
Nice wonderful pick up! Any gold coin is a keeper!

Nice coin for a first one!!
Very nice for the grade and an old green PCGS slab to boot.

I'd be super-excited!!
Of all the 'common' dates, 1927 is likely my favorite.
Looks GREAT in that OGH, too!!
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Isn't it wonderful to have that first gold coin? Watch out for the gold bug that comes with it.

Absolutely positively do not spend money on the grading game with a 62 1927 Saint.
No difference in value between a 2 & a 3 for that date and it could be knocked down to a 58. And it's stable in that 30yr old holder. And you'll save $50+.
Congrats. Gold is always good.
Oh I have other gold coins like the Indian $2.50 and $10.
This is just my first $20 gold piece.
It’s almost as big as my 1 oz AGEs!
Looks great just the way it is..........
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
It's actually bigger than your AGE.

Almost
.
An AGE has 1 oz gold + 1/10th oz of copper.
A St. Gaudens has 0.9675 oz gold and just slightly under 1/10th oz copper.
Not sure if Perry meant size or content, but he’s correct in size.
A Saint is 34mm in diameter while the AGE is just over 32mm.

And not having it for months.
Yes. An AGE is heavier than a Saint but your 1927 Saint is bigger since it's 34.00 mm in diameter while the AGE is smaller since it's 32.70 mm in diameter.

PCGS graded $20 Saints have been a good investment for me over the last few years, may you do as well!
Oh I bought it already in the holder I didn’t pay for it to be graded and have no intentions to resubmit it.
I like the holder it is in and I feel that the 62 grade is correct and it shouldn’t be any higher.
Thanks! Does that include common dates too?
Is it the St Gaudens that have been a good investments or the gold in them?
It’s crazy to think just 20 years ago gold was only like $430/oz O_o
@MKUltra24.... Yes... I purchased a lot of gold back then... Your acquisition is very nice. Cheers, RickO
congrats on the pick up
I wish I would have kept my 1st saint.
It was a 1915-S raw slider back in 2009
I wanted the UHR that came out that year but it was out of my price range.
Things sure have changed since then

Nice. My first double eagle was a 1908 No Motto bought and sold many many years ago. They cost 4 times as much now.
