1971 D DDR

If graded and known as a DDR would it be something that collectors want in their collection or would it be no big deal just another coin?

Can you be more specific about the coin? My general rule of thumb (exceptions exist): if it’s listed in the cherry picker’s guide there is likely going to be a bit more demand.

Unfortunately, a lot of people prefer to find these rather than buy them.

Not enough information from you and too many variables to be able to answer your question. In a very general sense some collectors like and collect very minor varieties like minor DDO/DDR, or RPM's, etc... However very often they are more likely to try and find one themselves than purchase one. And then there are collectors that do not care about such minor things, like myself, I do not care about that type of stuff and would only buy it if it was a couple of dollars.

I will say that if what you have is listed and needed for a TPG registry set you will have a much bigger and more willing pool of buyers.

It’s premature to celebrate a find

You’ll need to wait to upload photos

Once we see what you have you can get better advice

@Pmed0651 .... Welcome aboard. We will need more information... such as what type of coin is it?? Sounds like it may be a cent, but not sure. Also, we need pictures... clear, straight on, enlarged, both sides, when you can post pictures. Until then, a link to such pictures would work. Cheers, RickO
