I must have read this years ago as I knew I remember this card being Ken Henderson.
I am pretty sure this is the first time in my collecting history where I knew something 70's baseball cards that Grote did not. Time to retire on a high note!
Yes, LOL! I thought Melton as he was also #14 but Henderson wearing #24 makes sense, too. One thing is for certain, it's certainly not Rose or a Red no matter how many photos the OP posts
100% agree. That is not Rose and not a Reds player. It is a Sox player hitting versus the Yanks - either Melton or small percentage it is Henderson.
This Sugar Daddy situation seems like it is exactly following the precedent set by the 1935 Muratti Dorothy Poynton card which was formerly incorrectly labeled as w/ Babe Ruth, and then after compelling evidence to the contrary plus associated valid worthwhile complaining about this error rolled in, the TPG's eventually changed their specs data. However, the volume of mislabeled cards is large enough that the error (and therefore the incredibly overvalued prices) will live on, despite the basis being on a labeling error.

I guess it’s fitting that both the card that started it and the thread about it are mislabeled now.

There are a few threads covering this Muratti topic that you can find on Blowout and on Net54 if you want to know more about it.
genius observation, :-)
The appropriate title for this thread is “Who’s Your Sugar Daddy?”
And from what I understand, Pete Rose has been the answer to that question more than once.
