Those are not dimes I would put in an album, certainly not slab. I would not buy them, but if received in change, I would, of course, keep them. Cheers, RickO
It's understandable for a person not familiar with Mercury Dimes to be confused by watching ebay sales for the last few months and I'm talking sold items not for sale items. These things have been selling in the $8 to $24 range a piece in the same or near same condition and the lower priced coins have a $5 to $6 S/H fee with them. I couldn't believe it. Think I might sell some mercury dimes. lol

Well I was trying to finish up my mercury folder and I was just wondering if these two (needed) dimes
might be considered at a fair price for the both of them being that they were listed on a certain forum near
the top in the "Sort by Lowest Prices" list and graded as F/VF .
Are all of the ebay & various forum sales out of line lately?
Everything that may be a good collectible appears out of reach at $30-40-50 up for me anyway
so just trying to build a modest collection affordably that will still hold a little value anyway.

More like $4 for the pair.
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
In the condition shown, I would pay $3/each. Nothing special.

Considering the differences in opinion, maybe the original poster would like to step through why he expected them to be worth $20?
As pointed out in another thread recently, anyone can ask any price, whether $20 or $20,000. That doesn't make them worth more than $4-6.

The green?
Looks like PVC damage to me. Acetone might help, couldn't hurt, but I'm just seeing 90% silver...
