This is how little I pay attention to baseball

I didn't realized the DH was coming to the National League this year.

Good for you! I can see you being ejected and dragged off the field. It will be over balls and strikes and you will be 100 ft away and on bad angle. That's your future

I'm fine with the NL DH. Pitchers have digressed as hitters over the last three decades. They no longer earn the right to bat in the ML. Most are an embarrassment at the plate and they don't work on their hitting enough to even sniff the Mendoza line. My apathy of the modern MLB game is from the gross competitive imbalance which was not addressed at all in this negotiation. In fact, it was made worse with some of the changes.

Well, Mark....that's not my future...... but it was my past. I look back and I don't regret a thing..... except the embarrassment that The Lovely Mrs. Hydrant went through because of my insane on field and off field temper!....... AND......you have ESP......."FIREBALL" was my nickname with the teammates.....RED HEAD!..... .My fondest memories!

Bobby "Fireball" Hydrant......... I like it..........look for him in MLB about 12 years from now.....his Daddy and Grandpa will except nothing less.......oh, that poor boy!......

I also didn’t know the DH was coming to NL. Of course I barely know that they now some rule about how they stick a guy on second base in the 10th inning of an extra inning game. I don’t have it straight, I heard a rumor somewhere.

As for competition, the World Series will probably include the Astros, Braves, Dodgers and Yankees …. Whoever can afford to buy the best players. :(

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I had no idea either. I used to enjoy baseball, now not so much.

Doubleheaders and extra innings are back to normal this year

If you think that's bad - just wait until next year when the rules makers really screw the game up........

I believe the second base runner assignment is now null and void.

Glad to see this happen for one reason. Albert Pujols might be able to take advantage of this.
He is just 21 Home Runs from 700. I'd like to see him reach that milestone. If not DH, then PH.
