Is this the ultimate LowBall Memorial Cent? (No it's not, and I'll tell you why.)

Smooth and problem-free. Well, outside of a single issue... No date! These ultimate Low Ball modern coins are near worthless without a date as PCGS won't grade them. They would have to be a one-year type coin; otherwise, it is too worn out!
Still kind of neat looking.

Don't you think this one had a little "help?"

Looks as if it spent a couple of days in a rock tumbler..... Cheers, RickO

ya. i would enjoy seeing a legit po01 mem/shield cent with barely a date/mm visible. surely enough mem cents circed to pull this off. i think the bigger challenge is finding one the tpg would consider a po01 that has enough date/mm to identify. (pretty much what you just said)

Very cool looking!
The interesting thing is that if this was struck on a foreign planchet or struck-thru grease, it would be gradeable by PCGS without a date.
If a P01 had a date, but no mint mark could be identified, would TPG still grade it? If that date was minted in Philly, maybe there is no mintmark to be seen.

There are dateless coins in PCGS holders. Why wouldn't they grade it with appropriate labeling?
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Aren’t the only dateless coins in holders, ones displaying characteristics unique to a single date?

I vote for holdering of dateless type coins for “Type Coin Lowball” sets. After all, the coin clearly isn’t a wheat cent.😉

Dateless coins where the date is clipped off are also in graded holders.
The difference is they are errors which don’t have a PCGS coin number tied to a date/mm.
