NJ Quarter Newp - No Spaghetti Hair!

No spaghetti hair because it's a really nice brockage! I bought this for my prime number set, since I felt the set needed a state quarter from the first year of the program. I hate the Spaghetti Hair obverse, though, so when I spotted this exceedingly cool specimen, I decided it belonged in my set. As a bonus, 1787 is also a prime number, making this the only coin in my set with two different prime dates on it. A Fugio already sits in the 1787 slot. As a double bonus, the reverse detail is absolutely hammered, as tends to be the case with errors like this.
Together with the 1997 MS 1/2 oz. Platinum Eagle I added a week ago, the 20th century is now finished. I'd post that here, too, but I don't want to distract from this bad boy.

Nice purchase and great way around the spaghetti problem.

Cool. Of all the error types out there, a nice brockage impresses me the most.
Hard not to like this. I’ve always liked then NJ quarter since it’s both my home state and one of the few really attractive designs that doesn’t look like clip art. Plus it’s a fun error, got rid of a terrible portrait of Washington, and since 1787 is 200 years before I was born, it’s always been a favorite date of mine. So I approve.
That is a great addition..... and serves your collection in interesting ways. Cheers, RickO
I have an appetite for spaghetti hair, but I still like your coin.
Nice score
