More compensation for Seattle: Seahawks get back talented DL Shelby Harris, whom Denver considers a locker-room leader, along with QB Drew Lock...and multiple picks.

I don't know who this guy is but he's reporting this:
    Adam Jude
    @A_Jude
Russell Wilson has been telling folks he wants "Mahomes money" when contract negotiations begin again a year from now. Seems apparent the Seahawks had no interest in going there.

That's quite a haul plus they don't have to pay his old bones 50m a year now

Looks like Seahawks will be finishing last place for next several years !!!!!! a bunch of trash in return for Wilson. We already know the Seahawks can not draft, just look at their last 5 years. Last year was the first year in 25 years that the Seahawks finished in last place, last time was 1996 !!! well they should get use to that for the next several years !!!
Although Wilson must agree first on the trade,

Drew Lock to Noah Fant can you compare them to Montana to Clark ? way to go hawks> @perkdog said:

I think the exact opposite, unless of course Drew Lock to Noah Fant is the equal to the duo of Joe Montana to Dwight Clark?

    Another shoe will drop soon.

No way the Hawks roll out Drew Lock as their starting QB next season. Zero chance.

Look at how poorly Wilson has done the last two years, he had Lockett and DJ Metcalf and still underperformed. He is going to Denver to throw balls to who?

The Hawks are not mortgaging their future on Drew Lock btw, the meat of this trade is 2 first rounders and 2 second rounders.

Seattle will need to draft a Qb early this year in what's a weaker qb class than the past few years or the better option wait until next year. I don't think anyone expects them to be very good with Lock so another top 10 pick should be expected next year.
Seattle may have won the trade on the surface but we won't know until we see what they do at QB.

Considering what Denver just gave up for Russ: I pose this question.
What is Watson worth if Russ was worth 2 ones and 2 two's plus?

I think Wilson is washed up, but the Broncos might learn that soon.

I do not think Wilson played poorly last 2 years, considering last season he missed 3 games with a finger issue plus came back too early and played 3 games with a bad finger, pile on the fact that Chris Carson misses more games every year then he plays, plus the Offensive line is ranked toward the bottom of the league and The OC is poor at best in Seattle. Sure Seattle has 2 good Wr but what can Wilson do when he is running for his life almost every play and no run game to speak of.

meat of the trade is what Seattle is terrible at draft picks !!!!!!!! in Denver they do have a stud running game and 3 good wr

    Seattle QB options

There is a world in which Deshaun Watson could end up there and as a cheaper option. All of a sudden they have the necessary draft capital to deal for him.

Jamesis Winston could he good for Metcalf and specially Lockett. Cheap

Mitchell Tribisky- he's going to end up starting someplace in 2022.

    Seattle Drafted Wilson though lol

Denver is going to lose Melvin Gordon so there is that, now they need a TE and another RB. I’m not sure about their line.

Seattle did draft Wilson and Seattle drafted about 6 other players from 2011 to 2014 that hit, but unfortunately the last 7 years their drafting skills have left the building. And to top it off their trading skills are horrible. We will see what happens with this trade, Wilson can still say no on this trade, Javonte Williams is the broncos stud rb Melvin gordon being gone is not a factor unless Williams gets hurt,

Indeed and now they have the draft capital to do so with lots of firsts and seconds. They could turn Wilson into Watson all things being equal

I think Seattle knew they were likely to finish last anyways in that brutal division with Wilson. Might as well issue in a new era.

I agree. I have been a Russell Wilson fan fanatic for many years. The Lovely Mrs. Hydrant's and my favorite player in the league. We would fly to Seattle just to watch him play. You had to see him in person. He looked good on T.V., but being there and seeing it.....he WAS so exciting.... Amazing!........But......like Bill says.....he's washed up.....He's lost a step and a 1/2. The Rams have dominated him for several seasons now. He has to get out of the NFC West. Just like Jimmy G. is doing now...Saints?......and also Murray wants BIG MONEY to stay in Phoenix. Why do you think the Seahawks and Cardinals and Niners quarterbacks ALL.....ALL.... want to be traded???????? Answer?....simple....Stafford and.....AARON DONALD.......they can't take the heat........Those 3 quarterbacks are running scared! The Rams are awesome, it's reality...... Deal with it.

P.S. The Seahawks fans and the team management are really nice people....... Coffee Anyone????

Seattle I’m reading was not willing to pay the stupid money Wilson was going to ask for so they probably figured they would move him while the price was right.

I think Wilson is on the downside but maybe the injuries and OL were a problem IDk I never follow Seattle either way but if I’m Seattle I’m making this trade 100%, if I’m Denver? Nope I’d sold the farm for Watson instead providing his legal nonsense was cleared up

Wilson's play made the OL look worse than it was. Wilson has had a habit of holding the ball too long since day 1. He holds and holds and holds and then takes a sack.

It might be when you factor in the number of players & picks. I did a quick google search for the most nfl draft picks included in trades in recent years and found this list:

Just my opinion.....that what Brady did, by going to Tampa, has the elite QBs rethinking how much power they actually hold in regard to writing their own destiny. And I think the Bucs winning last year then the Rams winning this year has GMs rethinking how aggressive they need to be when going after other teams elite QBs.
