I just received a few coins from my grandma and I’m curious if it’s good enough to get graded

Howdy and welcome to the boards. Without images it is impossible to give you an accurate answer, but most likely they would not be "good enough to get graded".

How do I post a pic haha
You are new
Your account has to be approved by a modulator to be able to upload pics
This may take a few days
We’ll need full on shots of both the front and the back
Ok I’ll post pics when it’s approved. It still has all the detail with hardly any signs of wear at all but is heavily oxidized

Ohhhhh ahhhhhh....
Really dumb question. Please don’t laugh too hard but should I clean it?
If you want to lose 90% of its value, sure, go ahead and clean it.

Never clean
You can dip if you know what you’re doing - never “rub” - the surface area of all minted coins is made up of tiny flow lines in the metal made when the planchette liquified for a split second under heavy pressure - and it is this fragile surface that needs to be preserved and can be so easily damaged - even a Q tip can cause hairlines and make a coin “upgradable” - so if you dip you tube instructions and handle coin with extreme care
It sounds like you have an AU 1880-S. The 1880-S is a very common date and it probably worth about $30 in that grade. It is not worth slabbing.
No
No
Don’t dip it either
Just leave it alone
Thank you so much for your help
Does it look like this?
