Newp 1663 Crown

I was noticing I have too many shillings in my Prime Number set, so I decided I should use a Crown for 1663. Either that or this coin was telling me I had too many shillings in my Prime Number set.

    I like the look

I manage money. I earn money. I save money .
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.

Looks is if it was graded by NGC... the reverse may hold the grade back- likely 15 on a bad day and 20 to 25 on a good. These are hard to find in high grades

I have a few coins from Britain's Charles II including this 1662 crown:

    Britain Charles II crown 1662
    Silver, 40 mm, 29.70 gm

    Obverse:
Charles II facing right with rose below
    CAROLUS II DEI GRA

    Reverse:
Four crowned shields with the combined arms of England and France at top and bottom,
shield of Ireland to left and shield of Scotland to right
MAG BR FRA ET HIB REX (King of Britain, France, and Ireland), year at top

NGC graded it 12. PCGS will get their shot fairly soon.

It’s odd. On the shillings, Charles II looks more like the playboy he was. On this larger coin, he looks like an old man.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
