Process for getting a slab label fixed by TPG

Herb_THerb_T Posts: 1,754 ✭✭✭✭✭

I didn’t realize when I bought this coin last year at a Heritage Auction that the PCGS label said Large 0 but the auction site listed it as a small 0. It is indeed a Small 0. So what process do I need to do to get this corrected by PCGS?

If it is a mechanical error, call up PCGS customer service. In the past they have fixed a couple for me for free but might take a couple months.

If you go to a larger coin show where PCGS is set up, you can give it to them there. They'll either fix it at the show if they're doing on-site grading or take it back to their office and then mail it back to you after they fix it.

They will fix their error free however, unless it matters greatly, I'd keep it as is as a novelty. Are the values similar?

    Small 0 is $850 vs Large 0 at $650

That should be an easy fix. Call customer service and they will give you instructions. Cheers, RickO
