Are seven figure numbers not always valid on the PCGS Certificate Verification website?

I've tried typing in seven figure numbers to check out a coin and more than once they have come up as an "error." How does one handle this when they don't own the coin? The dealer is reputable.

Try adding a 0 in front to make it 8 digits. I believe that's how you get rattlers and OGHs to show up if there's an issue.

If they still don't show up, there's a chance they were dropped or never put in initially. Back in the day you could get ahold of BJ Searls and she would add them for you, not sure who will now.

Adding a 0 in front is not necessary.

Some of the coins that begin with 50 are not in the database and this was an issue PCGS first addressed perhaps 15-years ago or more on these boards. It was a database problem when the coins were certified and crops up from time-to-time.

Adding the extra "0" did not work.

along with a picture of the slab. They got back to me that it had been updated and it was done in no time! : )
Fast corrective action and thanks for posting the email address that provided the results. Cheers, RickO
