Loads of eye candy in this thread, hands down the only MS69 Lincoln cent is my choice for most stunning coin I've ever seen, or in this case photos of. From coinfacts.
Wow they finally got Blay to Trueview that godzilla Lincoln. Is it still in the OGH?

I do not know the answer to that, it is the one coin that I hope one day to see in person, so far I have only seen photos of this superb coin.
Edited to add - I'm not sure "stunning" is the right word if we're talking pure aesthetics but this if historical importance counts then this one. On visual impact I guess I'd vote for that pr68 high relief.

I would love to see images of Blay's full set. I suspect the quality is far superior to the current #1 set, which has a lot of coins that have unattractive spots.
These images don’t capture it terribly well, but this 1793 S-2 Chain cent from the Walter Husak sale (heritage) in 2008 is the only Chain cent I’ve ever seen with remaining mint red luster (long-ago aptly described as “liquid fire”). It was sold as lot 2001 in an ANACS MS60 details, light surface damage holder, but is graded MS61, ranked CC#1 by EAC authority Del Bland.

Much better, thank you.😉 This thread really reinforces the idea that “beauty” and “stunning” are in the eye of the beholder.

The coins posted so far are gorgeous. I am adding this one, not mine and never saw it, but saved the photo someone posted long ago. I don't collect ancients, but this coin is flat out spectacular.
THE 1794 dollar is my first choice. It was a highlight of my career getting to examine it.
Secondly, the 1796 quarter we put on the cover of our quarter book that was part of the Newman collection. The luster and toning is amazing! (Early US Quarters by Rea, Peterson, Karoleff and Kovach).
Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?
A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.
A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.

I'm humbled that you'd choose that coin; it's been my avatar for nearly 10 years and is still one of my favorite Roman aurei in my collection. Thank you!

What’s your vote?
I’m not sure I could choose just one. And in addition to the two coins below (and one or more of the 1907 Ultra High Relief $20’s), I’m sure there are numerous other candidates that would be on my list.

Seriously all beautiful coins and I am very impressed with their looks, coloring and details.

These look like poor fakes on eBay. Look at the acne on Liberty. The 1796 looks like a parking lot coin.
At the Long Beach show last month I viewed the Tryrant collection.
My vote for the most stunning coin I have ever seen (in person) is the Tyrant 1795 $10 Capped Bust 13 Leaves gold coin.
How enjoyable would it be to be able to have the chance to sit at a table, under optimal lighting (with no distractions and unlimited time) and view (in hand, with a 10x loupe) each and every coin that has been posted in this thread?
When you see this coin in person your jaw will hit the floor. Had no idea how nice the coin was when I purchased it. PR67RD in an OGH. 1/0 top pop and no doubt the coin would upgrade if resubmitted.

for my part, no offense is taken.
you've obviously ingested some severe psychotropic compound and/or suffered severe head trauma before visiting the thread. perhaps a fugue state?
editd to add:
you've inspired my mind and i thought of a category that really ISN"T represented here very often (or at least not often enough) and that is 6 figure+ colonials. i know there are a BUNCH to choose from.
any in that range that come to your mind to bestow upon our viewing pleasure? prefer some copper ones (but up to you) unless there is an amazing silver. (we've seen silver represented far more than the former)
@ironmanl63 That half centavo is one of the nicest proofs from that series of coinage I have ever seen. I think the series that the US Mint struck for the Philippines is easily forgotten in history and in numismatics, thanks for bringing that to my mind. I need to do some more research on these coins!

I haven’t seen all of these in hand, but here are a couple of decent looking colonials and a few other fairly nice 😉coins:
I visited the ANA Money Museum this past June, so it's hard to choose only the best coin I saw there. As a Lincoln Cent collector, I'll have to share the bronze 1943 cent they had. They had plenty of rarer and more valuable coins on display, but I'll save them for a separate thread that I will be writing soon. Here it is:
I really like this CRO archive coin picture given that it has honest wear, but retained its wonderful color and character after many years. While MS UNC coins are great, I like a PCGS XF45 for a coin of this age. Of course, not my coin:
There are more valuable coins than this one, but I've loved it from the time it first appeared at auction raw and S. Blay bought it.

(Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko, Big Moose.

Typically the photography captures and accentuates what the eye doesn’t really see.
