1885-CC

The pics of the obverse of this GSA shows more marks than in hand under glass.
I'm thinking 64 but was hoping 65. The reverse looks 67. Clean fields on both sides.
Haven't had it graded but don't think I will because I don't think it's a 65 coin.
Anyway I think it's a very nice example of my favorite CC GSA. Definitely better than the 63ish average GSA.

Just some sunday eye candy I think we all can appreciate.

Love the 1885-CC Morgan

If the marks are on the coin, how is it possible that “the pics of the obverse of this GSA shows more marks than in hand under glass.”?

I see a 63 there. Way too many face marks for a 65 for sure. Fields are nice and reverse is very nice but that is common on Morgans. The face and fields on the obverse are the keys to grades.

I think it’s difficult to tell from your pictures. My coin looks better in hand and it has a green sticker.

That scratch in front of the eagle's beak is not there and there's a die crack from the T in states to the R in america.

    Here's a 65 that looks like a 64 but it's DMPL.

Definitely not a 65 and borderline 64 IMHO.

Well guys I may be many things but a photographer I am not. lol
I don't think it's worth grading. If it was close to a 65 I would send it in.
It looks like a 65 until I took close up pics. Oh well.
    Cheers...

    It looks I’m thinking it’s a 64 as well.
A nice coin regardless of numbers.

I agree on 64... Just too many marks on the obverse face and neck.... Cheers, RickO
