I've had great transactions with people like: drwstr123, CCC2010, AlanLastufka, Type2, Justlooking, zas107, StrikeOutXXX, 10point, 66Tbird, and many more!
I think all the folks on the prior forum that stayed active during the switch have a February 2001 start date.

Thanks for this thread. I learned some interesting statistics about my own posting history.
From mid 2002 when I first joined as "northcoin" I found out I had close to 5,000 posts which were accompanied by 1,500 likes and 106 lols. Since 2019 as "1northcoin" I have half that number of posts but 6,000 likes and 285 lols.
It was nice to learn that I have become more likable in my older age.
It would be nice if the original avatars could again be made available - at least for those who had to start over due to being unable to access old email accounts.
Been here since 2005. It was like the Wild West back then. It's smoothed out since.
The DISAGREE feature was responsible for most of the "shoot outs".

I miss the DISAGREE feature. Made you question your response and check yourself. I learned more from 1 disagree than 10 agrees.
Amen. Lively disagreement will often put the orb that rests above one's shoulders into a learning mode that is unrivaled by always placid agreeing with others.
Did the great discoveries in science come about from scientists always agreeing with and liking what their colleagues had to say? Einstein's Theory of Relativity setting the Newtonians into a tailspin comes to mind. When Einstein came out with his theory only himself and a very few others understood it. But indeed, Einstein's theory was proven to be true in 1922.
In numismatics, 1894-S dime, special striking or proof? comes to mind.
I,too, miss the DISAGREE feature and would like to see it reinstated.

My start date is listed as 4/12/01 but if I remember correctly I joined before that.
And I remember the open forum, filled with many humorous posts from CoinCop and CoinCopWife.

it has been near 4 years since homerunhall checked in and his last post was in this thread ->

I missed my 20th anniversary (of officially being here): August 28, 2001.
Prior, I was a long time lurker. I vaguely recall someone telling me to try the new software, that it was much better than the pre-2001 version.
How does one get a hater to stop hating?

I joined August 22, 2004. So I have a couple of years until I hit my 20th anniversary. I lurked for awhile before that.
