What's the Deal With This eBay Seller?

Very odd listings ... "No bids allowed"; "bids will be removed" and yet clearly set up for bids. Some nice coins listed ... SVDBs and even a 1914-D Lincoln, both 65RD PCGS. Anyone have any experience dealing with this company?

I think it's a scam. Seen the exact same format with a couple other sellers based in the UK with jewelry and watches. Photos are stolen from other sellers.

Nothing scammy about taking transactions off eBay but this guy crosses a few red lines in terms of ethical considerations.

Stolen/hacked ebay accounts. This has been happening for a few weeks with many different seller accounts

I report these every time they get cancelled/relisted but eBay hasn't done anything to the account.

Isn't that against ebay policy to do that?

It's a scam. The seller has none of these items in stock. All the images are stolen. This has been going on for a while now. The listings get deleted, then pop up again.

It's a total scam. You wont get anything in return if you are foolish enough to send any money.

Cry me a river. eBay will get between $10,000-$20,000 in revenue from me this year barring unforeseen changes. They're doing fine off me.

Other than being against eBay's TOS and the listings getting nuked pretty quickly, it is a pretty sophisticated scam. I emailed them about a coin they had listed, and they sent me what looked to be a "private listing" for the coin on eBay at the appropriate price. The email appeared to be from eBay, and clicking the link sent you to a page that looked like eBay, but the URL was slightly off. The transaction would have not been through eBay. I didn't click through to pay, so I don't know if they are looking to steal your credit card information, PayPal/eBay log in information, or just take your money and run.

This information would be useful for eBay customer service to close these accounts. Have you contacted them?

As the saying goes "fools and their money are soon parted".
Many are going to fall for this scam.
I feel for them as this is not a greed scam to buy at a terrific price so you can sell it at a huge profit.
This is a scam to offer you a coin at a BIN price.
    If you do, you lose.

Useful information. There is no way I would try to buy something from these folks, but still useful to anyone who might consider such a transaction.
