I've had this coin from long ago and it's fun to actually hold it in my hands. It's nice and heavy. I really don't want to put it in a slab; yet, I wonder about the weak pluribus and 50 cents on the reverse. Does this affect the grade? The photo isn't the greatest - the coin is darker in hand,

Looks around 35, maybe 40. The weakness in the scroll and denomination are not unusual and won't hold back the grade.
Can't really say about a straight grade. The pix are not good enough.
I am not sure it is worth the cost of grading. Share it with friends and family who will appreciate it raw.
How many of them have held a 190 year old coin like this? Andrew Jackson was reelected. Louisa May Alcott was born. Wow them with history. There's the fun.
Lance.
Pictures seem a tad blurry.... but 35 looks about right.... good album coin. Cheers, RickO
I previously posted this coin bought raw years ago. I hesitated to have it graded, fearful it would end up as DETAILS or in a body bag. I finally decided to have it graded by CACG. The picture of the coin makes it appear darker.
Nice result. Congrats!
Nice work. Is there a CACG image associated with the coin?
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
That's it. No TRUEVIEW. And of course, the image of the reverse is upside down.
