Long Beach Expo - My First “Purchase”

Back at my hotel, taking a short break from the show. Want to share my first pick-up. You know it’s going to be a good day when the ATM spits out a $100 Star Note:
More to come,

Hope your luck continues in the show. I thought star notes had a red star? I do not know much about currency.... but an employee used to collect star notes... As I recall, his were red... Cheers, RickO
... and an older one at that!
Sounds funny to hear a 2006 note is an older one. lol

It’s a good day when the ATM spits out C notes at all!
Never heard of anything but $20’s
I think the red seals were from the 50’s and early 60’s. That would have really been something to get a red seal note from an ATM.

Some years ago I was at an antique show and got to conversing with a couple who had recently returned from a trip to Atl. City. They informed me that they had used a casino ATM. Popped out many counterfeit bills in their transaction. One would think the machines would have a fool proof system to detect such notes before loading/dispensing said notes. They did not elaborate as to the resolution of the issue.
