Any value left on this thing? 1853 No Arrows Dime

She ain't pretty - obviously 2 holes, plus an X on the reverse. Any value left to this thing? Looks like it would be a $250-$350 coin otherwise.

Definitely still worth 10 cents at a minimum.

i'd do a couple comps with the arrows and no arrows images on CF just to try and be sure the arrows weren't removed. most likely not but with already modified better-dates, probably a good idea. surely someone would pay an acceptable amount over melt for it.

Nice details remaining. I'd think it would have a loss value with a balance of $50.

I avoid holed coins myself, however, there are those that collect them. It is a nice looking coin, and a collectible variety. Good luck, Cheers, RickO

    Paging @HoledandCreative

I saw a holed 1846 half dime on Ebay not too long ago that sold for a bit over $300.

just curious... I've seen single holed coins used as pendants, but two holes? I just wonder what the uses might be... A button perhaps?? New drill press? because they could?

A spinner. Many of these smaller coins were used as toys.

Seems plausible. But in my experience, something bigger than a dime works much better for a spinner (and need string string, as well).

Awesome! I've never seen a bracelet like that... makes perfect sense...

Except, the holes would most likely be placed at 9:00 and 3:00 on the above coin...

My guess is it was part of a bracelet like this one.
