Question on cross over submittal

My wife purchased a Morgan that NGC graded MS67. The coin looks like it should at least be proof like or a DMPL .
If we send into PCGS is it possible to tell them to cross over if it grades MS67 minimum and to not remove it if it doesn’t? How does the crossover actually work?

Post some pics here before sending it in.

Yes, you can specify a minimum grade required for crossover. NGC, in my opinion, is more lenient than our host on grading. I would recommend posting images as well for an opinion.

I would be surprised if it were PL or DMPL and NGC hadn't noted it.
Yes you can specify the minimum grade that you will accept on the cross over, however I doubt that NGC missed a coin at this level as PL and especially DMPL. I imagine that kind of coin at the MS67 level would stand out.

PCGS will not remove the coin to grade it, if it makes your requested grade into a PCGS holder it goes.
It would be best to post pictures here before submitting... could save you money. Cheers, RickO
As others have suggested, posting an image here for feedback would be advisable.
Here is an overview of the PCGS "crossover" procedure.
I took a number of photos with my iPhone to give you an idea what coin looks like….
From these photos I have doubts that it will cross at grade, nor do I see much chance of PL, zero of DMPL. Maybe I would think differently with it in hand or from different photos.

Yes, unless that obverse chatter is on the holder rather than the coin, and with that little gouge by the arrows, i'm surprised it got MS67.
Very nice strike, though!
