If you mean 1916-D dime, get one that has been slabbed by a major grading service. This coin has been very heavily counterfeited.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

There are no 2016 D Mercury dimes. I believe you mean 1916 D. Or else you are looking for the gold coin, and that has a W mint mark. Check dealer websites, ebay, coin shows. Cheers, RickO

I went uber cheap to complete my collection and was very lucky to find a local dealer, with no online presence, to provide me one with an AG3.
eBay is okay for researching price range but would keep an eye open for any that comes up in the lots of auction houses
Dang.. Just for the hell of it I checked some Ebay prices... they have taken off nicely.. I have two AG3 in PCGS that I paid around $400 for a couple of years ago. Nice to see..

No such coin exists.
Oops.
I HIGHLY recommend one that is graded by one of the top grading services!
Get a certified one for sure.
