Another new ebay instance.

In October I sold a Walker to a buyer who never paid for it and never answered any contacts through ebay. I cancelled the sale per ebay's instructions and moved on and relisted and sold the coin. The other day(4 months later) this buyer messaged me through ebay and asked if I still had the coin and if so, they truly wanted it. They said that they had messed up and missed paying for the coin and was really sorry. I answered that the coin had been sold to which the person said, boy I hope we can still do business. I answered that he had been blocked and would remain that way. I thought that when you blocked someone they couldn't even message you, but I guess that's not so.

Seems like blocking only prevents someone from bidding on your items.
EDIT: After a quick check:
"When you block a buyer on eBay, the buyer can no longer purchase any of your products. Blocked users will still be able to see your listings, but they will be unable to bid, make an offer or choose to 'Buy it now'.Feb 12, 2022"
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
So if this deadbeat has really turned over a new leaf, he has to create a new eBay account...
Or just buy from one of the other million coin sellers..
Unless he has burned many bridges...
He may be blocked from buying do to many unpaid item strikes. Lets hope so.
There are a lot of screw ball buyers on eBay. Once encountered recommend block.
I don’t like the screwballs whether on the bourse at a show or online. Don’t let them disrupt your gameplay.
Yup, don't look back. Plenty of good customers out there. Peace Roy

There is a setting when blocking buyers on ebay, whether or not they can message you

I had one guy one time I had blocked for slow and non pay, say that he had turned over a new leaf, so I allowed him to bid, bout 2nd go around, did pay again, so Blocked, and staying blocked.
One other question. The other day I had a seller offer a 2nd chance and I cannot get rid of it. It doesn't expire for 7 days and it is quite large on my ebay home page. Anyway to get rid of it? I can find no delete offering.

you did allow this in your preferences.
that is where you have to stop it.
Thank you, corrected. I would imagine it will not remove the current one, but be inactive on further offers.

I bet it will go away if you just buy it
