OMG how addicting is this.

So I recently, (aside from one investment trading card purchase 32 yrs ago) started a trading card collection. Now I can say that I am hooked. It seems to be a part of my daily life. At some point each day I am either sorting through my collection, going on line to visit ebay trading cards, logging into the collectors forum and or PSA sales realized/ pop report. I've even started making a card display case in my workshop, it should be finished by tomorrow evening. Am I truly now a nerd lmao.

You’re in good company here. I started collecting in 1986 and never stopped. It’s good to be a nerd!

Welcome & enjoy! The hardest part is staying within a budget. It can easily get out of control.

    Very.

Started out saying just the Yankees big 3…

    …then just the stars…

    …then before you knew it…

…I was 10-11 cards away from completion on a beautiful set: a rare Cuban issuance known as the 1946 Propagandas Montiel Los Reyes Del Deporte, the Kings of Sport, though the remaining wants are proving very tough.

Welcome, and by the way, that Thor does look like it possesses ten qualities. Good luck!

Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?

Thanks for the Thor comment. I just sent it to PSA as well as 4 others who look great as well but the pics I took don't do them justice do I didn't post. Your Yankees big 3 seems to have grown haha best of luck with the remaining ones..

I can relate to this! Been back collecting just about a year now (coincides with my 1st post here actually) and my wife hasn't killed me as of yet while the $ just keeps exiting - so far so good though! Have fun. I surely am!

Though still have not graded anything. Was just a bad time to get back into the hobby if interested in that aspect. I sort of swerved a bit and bought some unopened things too. Have a closet of things for saving or for those lazy evenings when just ripping something would be fun. Starting to need a bigger closet though. Just one side...instead of wife's clothes we now have my card walk-in.

    Still married!

Careful, what starts with one closet quickly turns into a room filled with shelves of unopened 🤣

Any OPC Baseball hiding in there LOL!!

hummm a closeted collection. Sad to "be in the closet" set them free to live and be displayed haha.
