I thought this was kind of cool. An old Morgan Dime Liberty Head coin folder. Copyright 1940.

Mr. Barber would probably turn over in his grave if he saw this! :)

I either never knew, or forget, that once upon a time Barber dimes were called Morgan dimes….

Are you going to fill it or preserve it?

A Barber Quartet is made up of Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, and Halves.

I bought it on the BST. It had about 57 Barber dimes in it. I took the dimes out of the folder, and put them in a tube.

does logic prevail and mean that the other barber coinage was called morgan as well?

Excellent question. I would think perhaps Morgan will resurface as an acceptable term. Sure is interesting Great score 👍🏼

Early versions of that folder don't appear very often. I wonder when Whitman stopped using the "Morgan" name?

I think you're right. I had never seen the picture enlarged to this size before.
She didn't remember much about the picture, but said that coin collecting was becoming popular at the time. She found it in her scrapbook and thought I'd be interested in seeing it, in the sixties, as I was starting to fill the blue folders with cents.

    NICE!

i do recall at least once, maybe twice (that i saw) when people posted some morgan folders (non-dollars) on this forum long ago but i don't recall whatsoever what the denoms where but it seemed like there were several types.
