These 2 were sold by Heritage years ago for about $200, don't know if prices have climbed since then - so with yours, there is at least 3 of them out there - and probably more...............

Very cool, not trying to jack your post. I want to get one some day. I once opened a bag of 1962 Jefferson and was poring them out and hard a sound it sounded like silver then there it was a Jefferson struck on something, I didn’t know what it was struck on but looked like a dime so I sent it in and this is what it was.

And then this one pop out I thought it was a cent but turned out it was this. 🙁

    Hoard the keys.

At this rate this will turn into an error nickel thread.

  • Post your error nickels!

  • It's not a rare date/mint, although scarce in general. All the 1950's dates are generally scarce. Yours looks like a nice example based on the photos, and is worth around $450.

How cool that would be to find in change... Cashiers would probably pull it thinking it was counterfeit. Cheers, RickO

Thank you for that. I’m usually an exclusively Lincoln collector, but saw this at a show and couldn’t resist
