The most amazing collection (Fred Weinberg) of these I have ever seen is coming soon to Heritage. There are multiple examples (over 15) of Lincoln cents struck on silver 10c planchets. I would imagine it took quite some time to put these away.

I find these so cool, I have to get one. Here is one from 1943:

There was a collector maybe ten years ago who had a nearly complete date set of cents on dimes, dating from 1941 to the early 2000s. I have to believe that many of the coins in that collection came from Fred.

I too have my eye on a couple of special coins in his sale, even though I also have a few coins in my collection that came from Fred it would be another level to own a coin from his personal collection.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Some of Fred’s mint errors are special and should realize strong prices in the Heritage Auction. I am eyeing a specific mint error as well.

Fred owned this Lincoln Cent off metal for twenty years and was on the cover of Mint Error News Magazine.

I agree it's gonna be an interesting auction to watch. I'll probably do a bowl of popcorn while spectating. Peace Roy

Looks like a really interesting sale.... I do not collect errors, but they do intrigue me.... Enjoy seeing them here on the forum. Cheers, RickO
