Yeah, if Dave's is b, then I'd say OP's is b+ !
The crack through stars 8-13 seems heavier.. and there's that cool triangular chip!
I haven't found a nice 18-104 yet... Really neat!
Your coin, Ken, and Dave's are LDS as evidenced by the heavier crack above S7 plus the appearance of the crack above Liberty's cap that travels down the stars on the right.
This is a scarcer die state. Perhaps R5. Call it a ""b" if you like. Or 104.3. (Overton didn't call it a "b" so PCGS does not cite it either.)

Very nice!!!

104a?
I'm wondering if you maybe have the
104b there??
Not Earth shattering but surely die shattering.
A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.
A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
Love really cool late dies states, well done!
Here’s my 1818 O.104b….

Hopefully @lkeigwin sees this thread and posts his stunning O.104a. By far, the prettiest example I have seen of this die marriage in ANY grade!
Dave
Man that’s cool 😎
BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
Thanks for the nice words, Dave.
Here's the 104a I bought from CRO and later earned a slight grade bump.
Lance.
Still searching for mine

The gouge is there, but not as noticeable in hand. Our hosts found it acceptable.
Wow Lance! That one is stunning! I’d love to see that one in person!
@drddm is there a certain point at which a “A” becomes a “B”? Or is “B” just a later state than most “A”s?

Thanks Lance! Good info.
Yes, Lance explained it perfectly!
